Job summary

JD Gyms is looking for a Duty Manager to support the daily operation of the club, ensuring safety, cleanliness and excellent member experiences. You will work with the management team to drive membership and commercial objectives, while upholding brand standards across the club.

Flexibility is required for early mornings, evenings and weekends. The role emphasises staff development, professional interactions with members and maintaining a welcoming environment across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting colleagues in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to member service and coaching colleagues.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience contributing to membership growth, commercial performance and local marketing.
• Experience delivering operational delivery, people leadership and commercial results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day club operations, including opening/closing duties as required.
• Maintain safety checks and ensure JD Gyms Brand Standard is met.
• Support growth of membership and revenue while delivering great member service.
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues to sustain a high performing team.
