Job summary

A world-leading organisation in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled GUI Software Engineer for a 6-month hybrid contract, with three days onsite in Romsey. The role involves designing real-time systems and developing features for an Electronic Warfare software suite. Successful candidates will have expertise in C# and C++, unit testing experience, and familiarity with modern DevOps practices. Prior high-level security clearance is highly desirable. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects.

GUI Software Engineer – 6 Month contract initially, based in a hybrid arrangement with 3 days onsite in Romsey. Rate: £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella company).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient real‑time systems.
  • Understand and apply new and emerging technologies.
  • Work on our Electronic Warfare suite of software, developing new features for diverse projects spanning a range of domains including Array Processing, Communications and Sensors.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Expertise in C# for User Interface development and associated services.
  • Expertise in C++ for services and DSP.
  • Experience of unit and system testing.
  • Experience of modern DevOps practices, including version control and continuous integration.
Additional Desired Skills (not essential)
  • UI for scientific / technical applications.
  • WPF for User Interfaces.
  • SQL databases.
  • Modern communications, e.g. REST / WebSockets.
  • Knowledge of latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.
