Salary: £55k - £65k basic (depending on experience) + bonus

An innovative designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging is looking for a senior operations manager to take the reins of the business’s operational function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with strong green credentials, but also have the chance to progress to director level within the business and ultimately become a shareholder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety is always the company’s top priority.
  • Management of site Production Manager and Group Technical Manager, including the preventative maintenance and machinery development programmes.
  • Deliver on going manufacturing productivity improvements.
  • Control and, as necessary, the enhance product quality.
  • Adherence to the daily manufacturing plan, to ensure customer deliveries are on time and in full.
Key Skills
  • A driven and energetic approach to leading operations teams to implement change and improvement.
  • Education to degree level as a minimum.
  • A strong operations background with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of methodologies to deliver continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
  • An ability to engage with a wide variety of people both internally and externally to the business.
  • Has the ability to successfully install large capital investment projects.
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and BRCGS Direct Food Standards would be advantageous.
  • A strong belief in outstanding customer service and a desire to always ensure the customer receives excellent service.
