A leading spirits company based in Glasgow is seeking a finance professional to manage global financial controls and improve finance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders, providing insights and support. Requirements include strong analytical skills and a keen interest in finance, with opportunities for accountancy qualifications. This role is responsible for maintaining the global financial control processes over balance sheets on a monthly and annual basis. You will engage with a broad group of finance stakeholders, ensuring all accounts are properly owned and understood, providing advice and training to new and existing users on the established processes and systems.
As part of a project team, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvement to key finance processes, including new implementation of functionality of our accounting systems.
You will provide analysis and reconciliations of ledger balances, reported in consolidated financial statements to underlying financial information reported within Group entities on a regular basis supporting the wider finance function.
You will be an aspiring professional with a keen interest in finance and accounting. An accountancy qualification is desirable, but the option is available to you to work towards obtaining a qualification while in this role. Being an impactful individual who can collaborate within a team and confidently communicate with a broad group of stakeholders is a key ability of a successful candidate. You will have excellent analytical and numeracy skills enabling you to learn and understand monthly finance processes and execute them using our IT systems as well as Excel. Knowledge of the spirits industry and/or manufacturing businesses is also desirable.
