Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Grid Modernization Sector Lead in the UK to drive growth and deliver end-to-end grid modernization solutions for energy clients. You will direct sales, marketing, research, client engagement and planning activities, coordinating across Europe & India region and AECOM Advisory.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of energy policy, and a track record of delivering major infrastructure programmes. Hybrid work model and global collaboration offered.

Qualifications

• Understanding of regulatory structures and system operators, knowledge of market levers and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Proven expertise in business development and market strategy development and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy for grid modernization.
• Identify, develop, and propose new projects; negotiate partnerships and close transactions; manage senior-level relationships; ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead development of grid modernization advisory services and collaborate with the Advisory business.
• Build collaborative solutions for key clients across Europe & India region.
• Identify required skills and support recruitment to grow the team.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regional utilities, developers, and government departments.
• Support energy projects during execution with domain expertise.
• Communicate complex processes clearly in writing.
