Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Grid Modernisation Sector Lead in the UK (Birmingham Colmore Plaza) to accelerate growth in our Energy practice. The role focuses on developing advisory services, engaging utilities and governments, and delivering multi-year growth strategies across Europe & India.

Hybrid work is available. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, planners and business developers to win and execute major grid modernization projects, advancing decarbonisation and energy transition

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of regulatory structures and system operators
• Strong collaboration across interdisciplinary teams
• Experience in business development and market strategy
• Knowledge of energy policy and project implementation
• Proven track record in winning and delivering major infrastructure programmes
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy with metrics and client plans
• Identify, develop and propose new projects; negotiate partnerships; close transactions; manage senior relationships
• Lead the development of grid modernisation advisory services
• Build collaborative solutions for grid modernisation across Europe & India region
• Identify skills and recruitment needs to support growth
• Establish and maintain relationships with utilities, developers, contractors and government bodies
• Support energy projects during execution with domain expertise
• Communicate complex processes and ideas with strong writing
