Job summary

AECOM's Energy practice is seeking a Grid Modernisation Sector Lead to drive growth, lead sales and client engagement for grid modernization initiatives in the UK and Europe. You will work with the Energy team to deliver advisory solutions across generation, distribution and decarbonisation efforts.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, market development, and integration with regional utilities, developers and government bodies. A hybrid work model and industry-leading benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to collaborate with a strategic interdisciplinary team of business development and delivery professionals.
• Strong understanding of energy policy, planning and project implementation.
• Strong understanding of Transmission & Distribution Networks.
• Significant experience in power, utilities, infrastructure or energy consulting.
• Proven track record in winning & delivering major infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy, including KPIs, client account plans, service offerings and market analysis.
• Identify and develop new projects; negotiate partnerships and close transactions; manage client relationships.
• Lead development of grid modernisation advisory services with the wider Advisory business.
• Build collaborative solutions across AECOM business lines and across Europe & India region.
• Identify required skills and support recruitment for the growth strategy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regional utilities, developers and government departments.
• Support Energy projects during execution with domain expertise.
• Communicate complex processes clearly and push the boundaries of what's possible.
