Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Grid Modernization Sector Lead to support our growing Energy business with a focus on grid modernization. The Sector Lead will direct growth, sales, marketing, research, client engagement and planning activities for grid modernization across the Energy team.

The role requires collaboration with the wider AECOM Advisory group to deliver solutions to clients and establish relationships with utilities, developers and government departments across Europe and the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science/Policy, Design or related field.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of business development and delivery professionals.
• Strong understanding of energy policy, planning and project implementation.
• Proven track record in winning and delivering major infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy with metrics and client plans.
• Identify, develop, and propose new projects; negotiate partnerships; manage client relationships.
• Lead development of grid modernisation advisory services with the wider advisory business.
• Build collaborative solutions across Europe & India region and across AECOM lines.
• Identify the skills and support recruitment required to meet growth strategy.
• Establish, develop and maintain relationships with regional public utilities, investor‑owned utilities, developers, contractors and central government departments.
• Support Energy projects during execution with domain expertise.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex processes.
