Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Grid Modernization Sector Lead to drive growth, shape advisory services and lead engagements with utilities, developers and government bodies across Europe & India. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, build client relationships and develop multi‑year strategies to modernize grids and accelerate the energy transition.

You will work within a hybrid model, collaborating across regions and with the wider Energy Business to deliver scalable solutions and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• BEng/BA/BS in Engineering, Environmental Science/Policy, Design or closely related field.
• Proven ability to collaborate with a strategic interdisciplinary team of business development and delivery professionals.
• Strong understanding of energy policy, planning and project implementation.
• Strong understanding of Transmission & Distribution Networks.
• Proven track record in winning & delivering major infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year growth strategy with KPIs, client plans, service offerings and brand elevation.
• Identify, develop, propose new projects; negotiate partnerships; close transactions; manage senior-level relationships; ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead development of grid modernisation advisory services in coordination with the broader advisory business.
• Build collaborative solutions for grid modernization clients across regions and business lines.
• Identify required skills and recruitment support for the team to execute growth strategy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regional public utilities, investor-owned utilities, developers and central government departments.
• Support energy projects during execution with domain expertise and strong writing to communicate complex ideas.
