Graduate / Trainee Environmental Health Practitioners (Housing) - Ref : CH08025

Salary: National Living Wage currently 12.21 per hour (equivalent to £23,792 over 21s)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Term: 2 fixed term positions for up to 24 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing Standards team for 2 graduates who wish to gain experience and contribute to the team by undertaking duties in housing and other relevant work areas. The post holders will have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of learning and practical experience. This is intended to assist the successful applicants in meeting the housing (and possibly all of the) elements of their portfolio to become fully qualified Environmental Health Practitioners (EHPs) with the CIEH.

About the team

The team deals with all aspects of Private Sector Housing including minimum standards in rented accommodation and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensing.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed an accredited Degree in Environmental Health (BSc or MSc)
  • Have good interpersonal communication investigative and analytical skills and
  • Strongly motivated to obtain CIEH registration
