About the Role - Transport & Operations Graduates
Are you a recent or post‑graduate, ready to make a real difference in your local community? This local Authority Council is looking for motivated, collaborative graduates to join their transport, logistics, operations and environmental green spaces services teams as soon as possible.
As a graduate, this is your opportunity to develop hands‑on expertise in operational planning, green space, grounds and fleet & transport management, including waste and recycling collections, and environmental services. As a Transport, Logistics and Operations Graduate, you will:
- Support and learn across transport operations, collections, fleet transport and environmental services, helping to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable delivery of council services
- Work closely with experienced logistics, waste, transport and fleet professionals to plan routes, manage fleets, manage grounds, green spaces, and optimise services to meet community needs. Through this work, you will support the delivery of improved transport and of a safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable transport network.
- Develop your skills in health & safety, compliance, and operational management in real‑world environments
- Rotational exposure to fleet operations, logistics, highways, environmental services, and green spaces
- Opportunities to participate in projects, audits, community initiatives, or planning improvements
- Exposure to systems, planning tools, and operational technologies
- Gain experience across fleet management, maintenance, and environmental services, contributing to projects that directly impact your community

- A recent graduate or post‑graduate, ideally with some part time, full time or intern work experience to date
