Overall Responsibilities
Marex Prime Services
- Responsible for a range of operational tasks – including but not limited to corporate action booking and queries, reporting queries, break investigation and resolution, settlements monitoring, trade and transfer bookings, exception processing
- Daily reconciliation and resolution of position breaks. Take full ownership of position breaks assigned to you to clear on T+1. Escalate and follow up with other internal teams/external custodians appropriately.
- Daily cash and transactional reconciliations. Full ownership and reconciliation of cash breaks (dividend, interest, trade settlement cash etc) assigned to you. Identify recurring break types and work with IT and external custodians to resolve at source. Working to resolve in a timely manner with minimum impact to the client.
- Booking Corporate Actions on T+1 in a timely and accurate manner based on custodian data and using Bloomberg where appropriate.
- Mailbox management to include responding to queries from internal teams relating to breaks, account setups, reporting and ad hoc queries
- Ensure client reporting is accurate and distributed in a timely manner with correct holdings for margin purposes
- Flexibility to take on new and different Prime Operations tasks as required by the business
Foreign Exchange
- A key member of the operations team providing comprehensive support to OTC FX, Metal, Crypto & Structured FX / Rates business of Marex Capital Markets front office and clients. Report and elevate issues timely to the Head of the team as well as relevant senior management of the Desk
- Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash and trade data between internal systems and external parties
- Monitor and manage key events (e.g. Option & NDF events) throughout the life of OTC transaction
- Complete daily middle office functions for the FX & Crypto business. This includes investigating trade issues with the trading desk
- Complete Daily client rollovers
- Work as part of the team that completes daily Client / Bank Settlements
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and participate in automation and efficiency projects
- Work closely with Front Office, Technology, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Legal and Compliance to resolve issues and deliver excellent client outcomes
- Maintain detailed operating procedures for the team to ensure business continuity
Structured Products
- A key member of the operations team providing comprehensive support to OTC Derivatives and Structured Notes business of Marex Solutions front office and clients
- Report and elevate issues timely to the Head of the team as well as relevant senior management of the Desk
- Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash and trade data between internal systems and external parties
- Monitor and manage key events (e.g. coupons, maturities, early redemptions) throughout the life of OTC Derivatives and Structured Notes
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and participate in automation and efficiency projects
- Work closely with Front Office, Technology, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Legal and Compliance to resolve issues and deliver excellent client outcomes
- Maintain detailed operating procedures for the team to ensure business continuity
Systems Support & Regulatory Reporting
- Daily monitoring and problem resolution associated to MiFID Transaction and Position Reporting
- Daily monitoring and problem resolution associated to EMIR Trade, position and valuation reporting
- Support/maintain general static data, Exchange and Regulatory enrichment information across platforms utilised by Operations
- Assist with system changes and upgrades in line with business, exchange & regulatory requirements
- Ensure written procedures are in place and up to date for daily/monthly departmental tasks
- Efficient email management, including both personal & group mailboxes
Energy
- Ensuring all top day trades are allocated, cleared & accepted in a timely & efficient manner
- Working closely with front office brokers, assisting with all queries & requirements
- Deal Entry into in‑house systems
- Deal Entry into external exchange systems
- Configuration & monitoring of counterparty commission rates
- Daily monitoring & problem resolution of downstream internal system feeds & processes
- General customer support
- Reporting issues to the back office Supervisor & clearing manager
- Providing back office administration support under the guidance of the OTC back office Manager
- Assisting the Brokerage Department on relevant queries
- Efficient email management, including both personal & group mailboxes
- Timely and accurate distribution of reports

- Foreign Exchange: Demonstrates Knowledge of FX & Option / Crypto / Structured FX
- Structured Products: Demonstrates knowledge of Structured Products and Options. Proficiency in MS Excel, Bloomberg and Python. SQL would be a plus
- Systems Support & Regulatory Reporting: Previous exposure and knowledge of exchange Traded Derivatives preferable. MS Office experience is essential. Problem solving skills; ability to resolve issues in a timely & efficient manner. Ability to develop and enhance systems and processes to improve efficiency
- Energy: Knowledge & experience of exchange deal entry systems. Knowledge & experience of Trayport/GlobalVision trading platform. MS Office experience is essential
