About the role

Alstom is a global leader in transportation mobility and is looking for a Graduate Project Manager to manage projects for the overhaul of traction equipment following the Alstom Management system called DFQ. You will be mentored by more experienced Project Managers and will manage both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up and running project governance
  • Ensuring that the Alstom project management process is followed
  • Identifying risks and opportunities
  • Day to day management of the project ensuring that Quality, Cost and Delivery commitments are achieved
Development programme

You will complete a two-year accredited development programme whilst providing a tangible contribution to the success of the team. During the programme you will undertake a series of rotations around the function gaining an understanding of the business and the service operation lifecycle. Developing your knowledge during your time at Alstom is key, along with developing your skills, experience and leadership mindset. Within a climate of innovation you will also support solutions to meet the customer requirements as part of the safety case and train presentation, support the identification and delivery of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, a can do attitude and a passion for making things happen
  • Good IT skills (particularly Excel)
  • Logical thinking and curious
