This Position reports to: Project Execution Support Manager As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will deliver hardware and software platforms for a range of automation systems and services, supporting engineering projects across the UK Energy Industries. You will play an active role in projects, providing practical, hands‑on technical support from delivery through to implementation. Work model: onsite from our St Neots, Cambridgeshire location {#LI-onsite}

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Work as part of a team specialising in operational technology, supporting hardware and software systems that monitor and control industrial equipment, assets, processes, and events in live operational environments
  • Contribute hands‑on technical support across multiple phases of customer projects, under the guidance of the Engineering Section Manager
  • Support the delivery of project outputs on time and within budget, while working in line with quality and safety standards
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline such as Control, Automation, Electronics, Computer, Systems, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong interest in learning new technologies, with a high level of self‑motivation and curiosity
  • Sound understanding of IT fundamentals including operating systems, networking, and basic cybersecurity principles
  • Willingness to develop hands‑on experience with ABB industrial automation systems and digital or cloud‑based tools
  • Ability to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary and international engineering teams
  • Interest in energy transition, sustainability, and the future of the energy industry
  • Willingness to actively participate in the ABB UK Graduate Development Programme
  • Full UK Driver's License
