Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary design teams in Manchester. You will engage in power distribution, lighting, fire detection and protective systems while developing expertise through an IET-accredited training scheme toward professional status.

You will participate in 3D design using Revit MEP, conduct short circuit studies, and contribute to technical reports and electrical calculations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services
• Full UK work rights; no more than 12 months relevant experience; recent graduate

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection for buildings.
• Short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Lighting photometric modelling.
• Technical report writing.
• 3D design with Revit MEP.
• Develop electrical reports and calculations.
• Collaborate with architects, fire engineers and other disciplines to develop designs.
