Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Infrastructure Electrical Engineer in Manchester. You will contribute to electrical designs for critical infrastructure and work within multidisciplinary teams across water, energy, and industrial sectors.

You’ll gain real project experience, build technical capability, and progress toward professional accreditation while exposed to CAD/BIM tools and 3D design software. Start date is 1 September 2027 with a thorough graduate recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2.1+ grade.
• Master’s or integrated Master’s degree is advantageous.
• IET accreditation or equivalent academic requirements are preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM and design project experience is beneficial.
• Coding languages and digital tools experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of electrical systems for infrastructure projects.
• Perform electrical calculations and equipment selection.
• Produce specifications and designs, BIM models, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across water, energy, power, and industrial sectors.
• Support site activities and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Develop toward professional accreditation as you gain experience.
