Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to help design electrical systems for essential infrastructure. You’ll join multidisciplinary teams and build capability toward professional accreditation through real project experience.

You’ll work on electrical calculations, equipment selection, specifications, BIM, and reports, with opportunities to collaborate across water, energy, power, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/General Engineering with 2.1+.
• Master’s or integrated Master’s in related fields is advantageous.
• IET accreditation or equivalent preferred.
• Good CAD/BIM understanding and design project experience beneficial.
• Some coding experience an advantage; eager to learn new software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proactive approach.
• Driving licence beneficial for remote site visits.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of electrical systems for water, energy, and industrial infra.
• Perform electrical calculations and equipment selection.
• Produce specifications and designs; BIM and digital modelling.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and prepare technical reports.
• Support on-site activities as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (2.1+)

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (2:1+)

Integrated Master’s degree in electrical/renewable engineering

IET accredited course

CAD/BIM understanding

Coding languages experience
