Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Infrastructure Electrical Engineer to join our Leeds team. You will help design electrical systems for essential infrastructure, working within multidisciplinary teams and developing towards professional accreditation.

You will gain hands-on experience across water, energy, power and industrial sectors, contributing to calculations, equipment selection, specifications, BIM, and reports while collaborating with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and above in relevant engineering fields or accredited route
• IET accreditation or equivalent
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM tools preferred
• Coding language exposure is a plus
• Willingness to travel to sites with driving licence beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical calculations and equipment selection
• Produce specifications and electrical designs
• Utilise BIM and digital modelling on projects
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• Prepare technical reports and support site activities

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, Engineering Science, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Engineering, Communications Engineering (2.1 or above)

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, Engineering Science, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Engineering, Communications Engineering (2:1 or above) would be advantageous

Integrated Master's degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Engineering or similar subjects.

IET accredited course (degree accredited by IET or equivalent requirements)

Good CAD and BIM understanding (beneficial)

Some coding language experience (advantage)

Proficiency in common digital tools and 3D design / digital automation software

Enthusiasm for electrical engineering sector and related work

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Initiative and proactive work attitude

Full driving licence beneficial for remote site visits
