Job summary

Arup is recruiting a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK, with a focus on Manchester. The role includes an IET-accredited training scheme to support progression toward professional status, plus extensive training and development opportunities within a strong support network.

Design responsibilities cover power distribution, lighting, earth and protective systems, with collaboration across engineers and architects to deliver integrated building

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word with basic building services knowledge.
• Familiarity with design standards and electrical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection for buildings.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Create lighting photometric models and develop electrical calculations.
• Write technical reports and work in Revit MEP 3D models.
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines to develop designs.
