Arup invites applications for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary teams across the UK. The role supports an IET-accredited training scheme toward professional status, with extensive training and development, mentorship, and a broad project portfolio in Healthcare, Science & Industry, Commercial and Transport.

You will design power, lighting, and electrical systems, work in 3D with Revit MEP, and contribute to reports and calculations while collaborating with Architects

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or related field
• Bachelor's degree acceptable with strong subject background
• IET/CIBSE/Engineering Council accredited course study desirable
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities required
• Proficiency with Office tools and 3D design software is advantageous
• Organised, proactive, and curious approach to problem solving is valued

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection for buildings
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies
• Create lighting photometric models and technical reports
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP; develop electrical calculations
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines
• Develop designs with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams
