Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates for an Electrical Engineering pathway to design electrical systems for critical infrastructure. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to projects in water, energy, and industrial sectors while building capability towards professional accreditation.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, apply CAD/BIM and 3D design tools, and gain real project experience across diverse industries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (2.1 or above)
Master’s degree would be advantageous (2:1 or above)
Integrated Master’s degree in electrical engineering or renewable engineering
IET accredited course or equivalent
Understanding of CAD and BIM and design project experience advantageous
Some coding experience would be an advantage
Familiarity with common digital tools and 3D design software
Enthusiasm for electrical engineering and sector knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Driving licence beneficial for remote site visits

Responsibilities

Engage in electrical calculations, equipment selection and producing specifications
Contribute to designs, BIM/digital modelling and cross-disciplinary coordination
Prepare technical reports and support site activities
Collaborate with senior engineers and specialists to develop practical solutions
Join a multidisciplinary design team and develop technical capability
Support attainment of professional accreditation
