Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams across the UK. You’ll contribute to low energy, low carbon design and HVAC system development from day one, using Revit and IESVE to model and optimise solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree (or strong Bachelor’s) in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering, with an accredited course, and up to 12 months’ relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering; strong Bachelors considered.
• Studying or completed an IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council accredited course.
• Full working rights in the UK required and visa sponsorship not offered.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Support development of mechanical design concepts emphasising low energy and low carbon design.
• Complete design of HVAC systems for buildings.
• Analyse and optimise solutions using software and digital tools.
• Develop system designs using 3D modelling (Revit).
• Conduct thermal/building regulation modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare mark-ups and collaborate with design teams for holistic project design.
• Input to decarbonisation strategies for operational and embodied carbon.
• Carry out site visits and prepare reports/presentations.
