Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its UK design teams. You’ll work on buildings projects globally, focusing on low-energy, sustainable HVAC concepts and decarbonisation.

From day one you’ll be supported toward professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary environment. You’ll use Revit and other design tools, perform thermal modelling, and engage in site visits and reporting to deliver robust building services solutions across commercial,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering (or strong Bachelor’s with equivalent).
• Studying or completed IMechE, CIBSE, or Engineering Council accredited course.

Responsibilities

• Support development of mechanical design concepts for low energy and low carbon design.
• Complete HVAC system design and documentation.
• Use software tools to analyze and optimize solutions.
• Develop system designs in 3D using Revit.
• Perform thermal/compliance modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare mark-ups and collaborate with design team.
• Contribute to decarbonisation strategies for operational and embodied carbon.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
