Graduate Data Analyst / Researcher – Systematic Commodities - Multi Strategy Multi Billion Dollar Hedge Fund - London

We are working with a leading global investment platform to identify a Graduate Data Analyst/Researcher to join their Systematic Commodities team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated graduate to start a career in systematic trading, with strong potential to evolve into a Quantitative Researcher or Developer depending on fit and progression. You will gain close exposure to an agile, high-performing team of quantitative researchers, developers, and a portfolio manager, with direct involvement in the research and trading process.

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Data Analyst/Researcher, you will:

  • Onboard new datasets into the research ecosystem, including ingestion, cleaning, and enriching with metadata.
  • Collaborate with developers to create scalable data pipelines and quality checks.
  • Monitor daily data processes to ensure smooth trading operations.
  • Apply statistical methods and research intuition to generate new data features for trading signal research.
  • Build visualisations and reports to support portfolio management decisions.
  • Incorporate unstructured data sources such as research reports and market commentary.
Required
  • Outstanding academic results at Bachelors or Masters level in a STEM, Finance/Economics, or Computer Science discipline.
  • Strong coding ability in Python and SQL.
  • Solid foundation in statistics.
Preferred
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in commodities trading, finance, or investment.
