This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about shaping sustainable, future‑focused transport solutions. You’ll support experienced colleagues across a diverse project portfolio, gaining hands‑on exposure, technical development and genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role

As an Assistant / Graduate Transport Planner, you will contribute to a wide range of development planning and transport projects. Day‑to‑day work will involve assisting with Transport Assessments and Statements, preparing Travel Plans and Travel Packs, analysing traffic and public transport data, and supporting design work including AutoCAD tasks and swept path analysis. You will liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, attend meetings and workshops, and play an active role in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based transport planning advice.

About You

You will ideally bring around one year of experience within a transport planning role, although strong graduates with relevant knowledge will also be considered. You should have an interest in topics such as sustainable travel, healthy streets, placemaking, transport modelling, policy, and highway mitigation. An understanding of the planning system (e.g., NPPF, London Plan) is important, alongside confidence using Microsoft Office. Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, TEMPRO, Junctions 9, TRICS, GIS or Census datasets would be beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to support colleagues flexibly as workload demands are essential.

Why Join?
