Qualifications

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a GP practice or primary care setting.
• Strong working knowledge and confidence with EMIS Web.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and adapt to changing priorities.
• Professional, supportive, and proactive approach to teamwork.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and NHS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the reception and administrative teams.
• Manage staff rotas for adequate cover across surgery opening hours.
• Oversee daily workflows for smooth operation.
• Use EMIS Web for appointments and reporting.
• Support the Practice Manager with data and performance monitoring.
• Handle escalated patient queries and complaints.
• Monitor and improve patient access and quality of service.
• Uphold confidentiality and information governance standards.
