Job summary

Turnitin is seeking a Global Controller to lead the worldwide accounting function across geographies and verticals. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to drive financial operations, reporting, tax, treasury, and internal controls in a fast-growth, remote-first environment.

The role requires 10+ years of executive finance experience, solid US GAAP expertise, and a track record of transforming finance through automation.

Qualifications

• Experience modernizing finance systems with automation.
• 10+ years of senior finance leadership.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant credential required.
• US GAAP and ASC revenue recognition expertise.
• Global tax and treasury knowledge.
• Ability to lead remote global teams.
• SaaS/Tech industry experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to global accounting and governance.
• Architect scalable, agile finance capability for growth.
• Drive end-to-end accounting across reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance.
• Lead audits and external reviews to ensure clean reporting.
• Deliver timely, board-level financial insights and insights.
