Job summary

Turnitin seeks a Global Controller to lead a high‑impact global accounting service across geographies and verticals. You will drive financial operations, reporting, tax, treasury, compliance and internal controls with a focus on best‑in‑class systems and automation.

As a strategic partner to the CFO and CLT, you will mentor a globally distributed team, shape governance, and deliver timely financial insights to support executive decision‑making and enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

Proven track record in finance system modernization, automation and agile workflows.
10+ years of progressive finance leadership, with global teams and US business ops experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with a professional credential (CPA/CA).
Deep expertise in US/Global GAAP and ASC revenue recognition across jurisdictions.
Strong tax and treasury knowledge to manage international risk.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership to elevate global accounting to a value‑add center of excellence.
Design capacity models and agile finance capabilities to enable growth.
Lead teams across Statutory Reporting, Audit, Payroll, Treasury, Compliance and Tax.
Establish governance frameworks and internal controls across markets.
Drive global accounting strategy and end‑to‑end execution with stakeholders.
Oversee audits with external firms to ensure clean reporting outcomes.
Align resources and processes for efficient global finance operations.
