Job summary

Turnitin, a recognized innovator in global education, seeks a Global Controller to lead the worldwide accounting function, spanning statutory reporting, tax, payroll, treasury, and compliance. You will guide capable, remote-enabled finance teams, partner with executive leadership, and drive process improvements and automation across geographies.

The role requires strong US/Global GAAP knowledge, a track record of strategic finance leadership, and a commitment to building a high-performance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) with CPA/CA or equivalent credential.
• Proven leadership of global finance teams with executive gravitas.
• Deep expertise in US/Global GAAP and ASC revenue recognition across multi-jurisdiction environments.
• Strong working knowledge of US domestic and international tax accounting principles.
• Experience driving finance system modernization and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to elevate Global Accounting to a value-add center of excellence.
• Architect organizational design and scalable finance capability across geographies.
• Lead end-to-end global accounting strategy including statutory reporting, audits, payroll, treasury, compliance and tax.
• Partner with CLT and executives to deploy governance frameworks and robust internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of automation and modern finance tools.
