Job summary

Turnitin, a global education innovator, is seeking a Global Controller to lead the worldwide accounting function, including statutory reporting, audit, payroll, treasury, and tax. You will drive governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration with the CFO and CLT to enable strategic growth.

You will manage a distributed finance team, modernize processes, and champion automation across geographies, ensuring high-performance, compliant finance operations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading global finance organizations and modernizing accounting operations.
• Experience navigating US GAAP and ASC revenue recognition across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong ability to translate complex financial concepts for executive leadership.
• Demonstrated capability to drive automation and digital transformation in finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to elevate Global Accounting into a value-driven center of excellence.
• Architect scalable finance model and agile capability to support growth across geographies.
• Lead end-to-end accounting functions: statutory reporting, audit, payroll, treasury, compliance, and tax.
• Establish robust governance and internal controls to mitigate risk across markets.
• Partner with CLT and senior leaders to align finance with corporate strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI tools to enhance efficiency.
