What we’re looking for

To lead the bid process for primarily the Offshore business stream, preparing quality responses to client tender requests. Responsible for implementing the bid process and for creating and maintaining a bid library and standard proposal collateral.

The role
  • Leads the bid-proposal preparation process to help ensure proposals reach the highest standards in support of the achievement of the Global Sales strategy.
  • Has a good understanding of the Offshore business stream and is familiar with the terms and technicalities of the industry.
  • Provide support and guidance in writing and reviewing Tender bids and Proposals ensuring consistency across the business.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders as necessary to identify, document and edit key business, financial and technical requirements. Contributing to proposal commercial and technical strategy in conjunction with segment and commercial management.
  • Create an accessible and valuable library of reusable materials, templates and elements of proposals to enhance and facilitate future bids. Management and maintenance the Global Bids and Proposals Teams Site
  • Working with other Bid Managers, Implement a global bid process for bids and tenders
  • Author standard proposal sections. Collaboration with Marketing Product Managers to optimize and update product specific bid templates
  • Coordinate larger and complex proposal submissions ensuring the end-to-end bid process is managed.
  • Manage proposal strategy, progress and review meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor agreements with external and internal shareholders (e.g. Legal Teams, Area Commercial Managers).
  • Provide guidance and support on the structure and composition of bids.
  • Monitors bid success and implements review procedure for continuous improvement
  • Works to share best practices with countries giving them the tools and knowledge to be autonomous in the less complex bids
  • Managing bid or no-bid decisions
  • Managing preparation of ATQ documents and relevant approval process
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g. Segment Leads, Area Commercial Managers), creation and maintenance of a central location for tracking winning prices/ rates for different work in different areas (geographical and service type)
  • Dealing with client enquiries and queries regarding bid related commercial and technical issues to ensure timely response by appropriate colleagues and departments
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in writing large bids and tenders
  • A high level of literacy, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • The ability to multitask, organise work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and with a wide range of people.
  • Proven capacity to work on own initiative and with minimal or no supervision.
