Overview

Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Location: York

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has opened in York for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing and well-established consultancy. If you are looking to work on a wide variety of projects alongside an experienced and supportive team, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

You will be involved in delivering geotechnical solutions across residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes, with excellent scope for technical development and progression.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake geotechnical design and analysis for a range of projects
  • Interpret ground investigation data and prepare factual and interpretative reports
  • Carry out site inspections and liaise with contractors and clients
  • Assist with foundation design, slope stability, retaining walls, and earthworks
  • Work closely with senior engineers to deliver projects to time and budget
Requirements
  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in geotechnical engineering or ground investigation
  • Good understanding of UK ground conditions and design standards
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
