Job description
Responsibilities
  • Participate in a variety of geo-environmental projects for external clients and internal teams.
  • Assist with ground investigations and desk studies.
  • Conduct soil logging to current UK standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  • Perform soil sampling with water monitoring/sampling.
  • Write factual and interpretative reports.
  • Apply geotechnical reporting requirements (beneficial).
  • Use knowledge of contaminated land legislation and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare factual site investigation data.
  • Provide travel to other offices and sites within the UK as needed.
Qualification and Experience
  • BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science or similar.
  • MSc desirable but not essential.
  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional body with a goal to move towards chartership.
  • Basic knowledge of planning legislation.
  • Experience of site inspections and reporting, preferably on residential developments.
  • Ability to complete factual and interpretative assessments to a basic level.
  • Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget.
  • Full UK driving licence.
