Job summary

A popular resort company in Hopton-on-Sea seeks a skilled technician to operate and support evening shows. Responsibilities include operating lighting consoles, providing technical assistance, and setting up equipment for various events. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours a week across 5 days, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operating shows as directed by the show director/Technical Manager.
• Setting up equipment for various events on the Resort.
• Providing technical assistance during functions, day and night.

Skills

Ability to operate a show

Operating Avolites lighting consoles

Knowledge of digital audio

Knowledge of QLab/Timecode operation

Operation of Hippo Media Server

Ability to work under pressure

Learning new skills in lighting, sound, vision, and stage

Job description

• The ability to operate a show as directed by the show director/Technical Manager.
• Operating Avolites lighting consoles.
• Knowledge of digital audio (DiGiCo /Allen & Heath audio console experience advantageous).
• Knowledge of QLab/Timecode operation.
• Operation of Hippo Media Server.
• The ability to work under pressure and to make quick thought through decisions.
• Being part of the Technical Team running Potters Theatre Company Evening Shows.
• Setting up equipment in different areas/locations on Resort for various events.
• Providing technical assistance on Resort during functions both day and night.
• Assisting in loading equipment to and from the theatre.
• Learning new skills in lighting, sound, vision and stage.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays).
