Job description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly, well-established semi‑rural practice in Wales. This role offers 4 to 6 sessions per week, worked across Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, providing a great balance between professional fulfilment and work‑life balance. The successful candidate will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care to a diverse local population. Our practice values continuity of care, teamwork and clinical autonomy, with systems in place to support safe and efficient working. This post would suit an experienced GP or a newly qualified GP looking for a stable salaried role in a welcoming practice with strong clinical and administrative support.

  • 4 to 6 sessions per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)

  • Opportunities for professional development and portfolio interests (if applicable), Provide high‑quality general medical services in line with NHS Wales, GMS/PMS contract and GMC standards.
  • Undertake face‑to‑face, telephone and digital consultations for acute, chronic and preventative care.
  • Manage patients with long‑term conditions, promoting continuity of care in a semi‑rural setting.
  • Carry out home visits where clinically appropriate.
  • Prescribe safely and cost‑effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Review and action clinical correspondence and investigation results in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and attend practice meetings as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, QOF and enhanced services.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to clinical governance, safeguarding and health and safety policies.
  • Engage in CPD, appraisal and revalidation in line with GMC requirements.
