We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at HMP Leeds, a category B men’s prison based in Leeds, Yorkshire. HMP Leeds is a remand prison with a fast paced healthcare department that provide care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Within this role you will be working on evening receptions supporting with the intake of new patients, this will require support with same day medications, acute needs and substance misuse withdraw plans.

Hours

Monday and Tuesday 5pm-9pm

Salary

This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £129,500 per annum FTE - depending on experience

Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
• Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
• Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
