A local medical practice in Liverpool seeks a proactive GP to cover maternity leave for 6 months. The role involves 4 sessions weekly with responsibilities including consultations, triaging, and home visits. Applicants should be fully qualified GPs with GMC registration. We would like to recruit a GP for 4 sessions a week to join our dedicated and dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, proactive GP with a positive attitude to join our team of 1 GP Partner, 6 Salaried GPs, Practice Nurse, Nurse Associate, HCA, Practice Manager, Secretary and Care Navigator/Reception team.
This is a great opportunity to join our supportive and friendly practice to help provide a high standard of care and continuity to our patients, have compassion and flexibility for the role.
Salary will be depending on experience.

In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Normal duties includes surgery consultations and queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, emergencies, telephone consultations and signing repeat prescriptions, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations (e.g. Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice, referral letters NHS/private paperwork and correspondence.
Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
Teaching and training of doctors and nurses
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.
Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate. For more details of duties, please see full job description.
Lance Lane Medical Centre is a well established GP practice in Wavertree, South Liverpool. The Practice has approximately 6,500 patients.
*Maternity Leave Cover - Temporary 6 month contract*
4 sessions a week (Monday and Tuesday with Monday being on call)
GP position 4 sessions per week (Monday and Tuesday) plus equitable shares of home visits and on-call duties. The role involves will providing general medical services, managing a caseload and dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Annual leave entitlement is six weeks annual leave plus public/ bank holidays (FTE or pro rata for any future P/T positions).
Salary is depending on experience.
Clinical responsibilities: In accordance with the practice timetable as agreed.
The post-holder will undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations (e.g. Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice, referral letters NHS/private, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner; Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation; Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards; Collecting data for audit purposes; For information, please see attached job description.
