General Manager - Premium Pub & Restaurant. OTE up to £48,000 per annum including monthly bonuses.

MCG RECRUITMENT are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client’s busy and vibrant pub restaurant. This is a pivotal role for an established hospitality professional who can inspire their team, uphold exceptional standards, and deliver an unforgettable experience for every guest.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the business — driving sales, managing performance, and ensuring consistent delivery of our brand standards. You will lead by example, creating a positive and engaging culture where your team can thrive, and our guests enjoy truly memorable moments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a positive workplace culture, leading, motivating and developing your team.
  • Maintain high operational standards across food, beverage and service delivery.
  • Oversee all aspects of the business, including sales, costs, and full P&L responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Deliver a guest experience that reflects our brand ethos of quality, warmth, and professionalism.
  • Take pride in every dish and drink served — ensuring it meets specification every time.
About You
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant, pub, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse team.
  • Commercially astute, confident managing budgets, costs, and driving sales performance.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Organised, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Knowledge of stock control and food safety procedures.
  • Flexible, reliable, and punctual with a valid UK visa.
