Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Cleaner at our Retirement Communities service, Portland House in Stockport.

The position of Cleaner is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as General Assistant - Cleaning.

Shifts:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm (3 weeks)
  • Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm (1 week)

The role of Cleaner will include:

  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen
  • Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of our customers are met
  • Ensuring customers' privacy and dignity are maintained and respected

Skills and experiences:

  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
