Job description

Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting a Gas Engineer to perform various aspects of boiler servicing and installation, maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding on domestic gas in properties in the Northamptonshire area on behalf of our public services contracting partners recent contract win.

Core Details
  • Rate of £20.40 per hour, Work Van and weekly pay via CIS or PAYE.
  • Full Time Hybrid Contract 37.5 Hour week, to be carried out between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 HRS / Mon - FRI.
  • Work Van, Uniform and Tool replacements
  • Immediate starts and secure fixed ongoing contract work.
Main Accountabilities
  • Maintenance of Gas within Domestic Property
  • To report faults as necessary using the IT system to ensure all faults are reported and closed for their property portfolio
  • Liaison with external sub-contractors to ensure access can be obtained, works are completed to agreed standards and the sub-contractors’ operatives are approved.
  • To undertake audit samples of external suppliers, work and report findings
What you will need for the role
  • A recognised gas industry qualification, skills, knowledge
  • Gas Safe registration and qualifications - Level 3 (NVQ) in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent
  • Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation or equivalent
  • Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (Gas fired water and central heating appliances) or equivalent
  • Prepared to undertake further trade related training as necessary role
  • Additional / special A willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK features of the (a valid UK driver's licence is essential);
