A heritage conservation organization is seeking a part-time fundraiser for a 15-month role focused on the Bath Assembly Rooms project. You will develop and lead fundraising strategies, working collaboratively to increase income from corporate and individual sources. If you have experience in public fundraising and a knack for nurturing donor relationships, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a crucial project before its reopening in 2027.
In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy.
This is a part time, fixed term role for 15 months, focusing on our Bath Assembly Rooms project. The Assembly Rooms are a significant part of the World Heritage Site of Bath. Our ambition is to explore the role they played in society, and what it means today, whilst celebrating its beauty and splendour. The building is now closed whilst we carry out repair and conservation work and will open in 2027 with a new visitor experience.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to join our South West team. You'll build on our already successful achievements, grow our public fundraising, increase corporate supporters and develop our US strategy as well as growing our profile in Bath.
This is an exciting time to join the project as we move into the final and critical year of fundraising. The foundations have been set, and you’ll continue to build on our success, developing our US and corporate strategy and increasing income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, individuals and public fundraising.
You will be part of a mixed discipline team in the SW, working directly with the Assembly Rooms project team. You will divide your time between Bath, our head office in Swindon and home working, with occasional travel to our regional office in Bristol.
As a mixed discipline fundraiser, you’ll deliver the fundraising strategy for the project. You will lead on the development of small and medium funding applications and apply your skills to both Grant and Trust applications. Your proposal writing will bring the project to life, inspire supporters and build lasting partnerships.
You will work collaboratively with the project team and national colleagues to grow our income from Individuals, corporate and international sources, with a focus on US engagement.
You might have a background in heritage or experience of fundraising for arts and culture.
Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role. In your application, please provide details of how you meet the minimum criteria below:
