Job summary

A leading educational provider in Greater London is seeking a qualified tutor to teach core GCSE subjects — Maths, English, Science — to students unable to attend mainstream education. The position offers flexible hours, allowing for either part-time or full-time work with competitive pay rates ranging from £15 to £30 per hour. This role involves delivering tailored tuition to help students achieve their qualifications and confidence. You will work in various locations, including students' homes and community centers.

1st Staff Limited are one of the leading alternative providers working nationwide with hubs and specialist staff helping students from 4-25 years of age with both education and therapeutic needs.

Role

We are looking for a tutor able to teach core GCSE subjects (Maths, English, Science) to students who cannot attend mainstream education in the Southwark area. You will deliver tuition sessions to help these students gain confidence and attainment levels required to achieve qualifications and return to further education.

Location

Students’ homes or community centre.

Hours and Availability

3 hours a day, 5 days a week during school hours (flexible start times). More hours available. Part‑time (10‑15 hours) or full‑time (20‑30 hours). Long‑term and short‑term contracts.
