About the role

Are you a physiotherapist looking for a change but still want to use your skills to make a real difference? As a Functional Assessor, you’ll help determine how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. Your assessments inform decisions on benefits such as Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Work Capability Assessments (WCA) for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You’ll conduct consultations via telephone, video or face-to-face, then produce detailed, evidence‑based reports.

This is a hybrid role combining working from home with some on‑site assessment‑centre days.

  • Opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD), reimbursed validation fees, and career development across a variety of disability and health assessment areas.
