The Developer / CTO is retiring and will support a structured handover over several months. You'll also have access to the long-standing remote software architect for guidance-but day-to-day, this will be your platform to shape and own. What We're Looking For

A balanced full-stack technologist with deep hands-on coding ability across TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and React. You'll be equally comfortable architecting new features, writing clean code, integrating with AWS services, and supporting production systems. AWS Cloud and SQL experience are essential; Unix scripting and data transformation skills are a bonus.

Full-Stack Development

• Build and maintain REST APIs, web applications, and reusable React components / services
• Strong Node.js + TypeScript skills, including modern ES6+ patterns
• Ability to assess, select, and integrate NPM packages with a focus on security and maintainability

Cloud (AWS)

• S3 : correct use of metadata / headers (e.g., Content-Disposition)
• DynamoDB : data modelling and access-pattern design (appropriate pk / sk selection)
• AWS SDK v3 : List / Get / Put / Copy / Delete operations across S3 and DynamoDB

Data & Security

• PostgreSQL : querying, manipulation, and familiarity with PostgREST concepts
• Working knowledge of HTTP verbs, patterns, and JWT-based authentication
• Ability to generate and use SSH keys; strong awareness of credential and permission security

Helpful Experience (Nice to Have)

Frontend & Integrations

• Highcharts (JSON-driven), Axios for API clients
• SFTP workflows (e.g., FileZilla)

AWS & DevOps

• API Gateway, Lambda, IAM; experience with serverless deployment
• Provisioning Ubuntu EC2 instances; configuring web servers / databases
• Managing security groups / ACLs; basic observability and monitoring

Tooling & Testing

• Webpack 5, Jest / Mocha, or similar testing tools
