Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting for a Verification Assurance Officer (Central) in Melton Mowbray. The role involves preventing fraud entering the welfare system and educating customers on responsibilities, working closely with Jobcentre colleagues.

Interviews with claimants, verification of documents, and collaboration with service teams are core duties; travel between sites may be required. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position within a Disability Confident employer

Qualifications

• Experience conducting evidence interviews and verification activities.
• Ability to contribute to fraud detection and prevention on the frontline.
• Strong communication to raise awareness and educate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and further evidence interviews with claimants and verify documents related to identification and costs.
• Collaborate with Jobcentre and Service Centre colleagues to integrate into site operations.
• Lead customer education sessions on responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Provide regular feedback on fraud trends and feed insights to risk and intelligence teams.
• Maintain accurate management information (MI) as directed by analysts.
