Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer (Central) to work from Jobcentre and Service Centres in the Atherstone area. You will help prevent fraud from entering the welfare system by conducting interviews, strengthening verification controls and educating customers on their duties.

Role requires on-site work from Jobcentre locations with face-to-face claimant interviews; frequent travel between sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience interviewing claimants or customers in front-line settings.
• Ability to identify and prevent fraud and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and further evidence interviews and verification activities.
• Support verification of documents for identification, housing costs, children, and childcare elements of Universal Credit.
• Lead customer education sessions to explain responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate MI reports and feed findings to risk and intelligence teams.
