Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer in Central locations to join a new team focused on identifying and tackling fraud at the frontline. The role supports Jobcentre colleagues to prevent fraud from entering the welfare system and to meet strategic objectives.

You will interview claimants face to face at Jobcentre sites, strengthen fraud controls, educate customers on responsibilities, and help ensure accurate management information is recorded.

Qualifications

• Interviews and verification activities experience
• Ability to conduct evidence interviews
• Strong communication and educating customers on responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and further evidence interviews and verification activities
• Verify documents for identification, housing and childcare costs in Universal Credit
• Lead customer education sessions on responsibilities and non-compliance consequences
• Collate and maintain Management Information (MI) as directed by analysts
• Frequent travel between sites may be required
