Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer (Central) to join a front-line team in Gainsborough. The role focuses on identifying and tackling fraud at the outset, coordinating with Jobcentre colleagues to strengthen verification processes and reduce fraud entering the welfare system.

You will lead interviews and evidence gathering with claimants, contribute to risk assessment, and support education sessions about customer responsibilities and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in interviewing or interviewing claimants is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with frontline teams.

Responsibilities

• Interview claimants for verification and identification, housing costs and childcare elements of Universal Credit.
• Support frontline teams by facilitating robust verification activities and presenting findings at meetings.
• Provide feedback on fraud trends and contribute to learning sessions.
• Maintain accurate management information as directed by analysts.
