Job summary

A logistics company in Redditch is looking for an experienced Ocean Freight / Multimodal Operator to join their forwarding team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sea freight experience and be skilled in customs clearance. Responsibilities include managing import/export files, liaising with clients, and ensuring accurate invoicing. • Resolve operational issues professionally.
• Ensure accurate file costing and invoicing.
• Make outbound calls to customers and prospects.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years previous sea freight experience
• Customs clearance knowledge
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Air/road freight experience desirable but not essential

Duties Include

• Manage sea freight import/export files from quotation to delivery
• Support air and road freight bookings (full training provided)
• Liaise with customers, agents and suppliers
• Arrange customs clearance and final delivery
• Resolve operational issues professionally
• Ensure accurate file costing and invoicing
• Make outbound calls to customers and prospects to help grow our multimodal offering

Shifts / Pay

• Monday - Friday 08:00 -17:00
• 34k to 36k (dependant upon experience)
