Overview
The Regional Image Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of all images, ensuring they meet Phillips global standards. Workflow strategy and improvement is crucial to this role. The Regional Image Coordinator will be in a constant search to improve to our best practices, both within the primary software and within any supporting systems. This role will manage regional relationships with Phillips external image retouching suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery and quality processing of all image assets processed through the region. Occasionally, there will be the need to retouch images for speed, technicality or practical purposes. This role is crucial to maintaining high image standards and supporting the seamless operation of our post-production workflows.
The Regional Image Coordinator supports the photo and video studio, where photographers collectively shoot/video 1000+ images per month of objects for our website, apps and occasional catalogue. The position will play an integral part in coordinating the post-production process, ensuring all images are processed efficiently and to the highest quality.
Duties and responsibilities
Overall Regional Quality Control of all Lot images (static and video):
- Oversee the review and quality control (QC) of all images from our photo studio, as well as external freelance photographers and videographers, including checking for colour accuracy, retouching quality, and overall consistency matching to Phillips' image standards.
- Think strategically on workflow improvement, building upon user feedback to ease pain-points.
- Manage the organisation and review of image files utilising our internal workflow system. Ensuring accurate tracking and accessibility of all imaging assets.
- An understanding of different image standards for cross-browser/cross-device on website, mobile web and mobile app.
System Management:
- Play an active role within the Ziflow Management User Group, becoming a super-user within our ecosystem
- Assist new and existing users with training and ad hoc support within the system
- Ensure the adequate storage of our files into appropriate cloud servers when no longer in use.
- Evaluate and suggest improvements for workflows. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance image quality and production efficiency.
- Propose new techniques or technologies to improve visual output and efficiency of the post-production team.
Skills and experience
- Creatively literate with a deep understanding of retouching, colour correction, and image manipulation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant tools for image editing and enhancements.
- Prominent level of quality control, professional and focused attention to detail, especially within tight-time constraints, all ideally within the art, antiques, premium brand or auction categories
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with internal clients and external suppliers
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively without direct supervision and direction
- Competent in working with on-line workflow and scheduling tools and technologies
- Commercially appreciative and literate.
Education and industry experience
- Sufficient experience within a similar role or relevant industry (Ecommerce, Broadcast, social media)
- Can provide appropriate examples and experiences of managing a wide selection of images and videos
Working conditions
- Work is undertaken primarily remotely, with occasional in-office work.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends as and when needed/necessary
